Sold Works

"Appulse" 48x60

 "Skyline" 12x48, Oil on Canvas

"Spring Green" 5x7, Oil on Canvas

Very pleased that these pieces have found a home. I am working hard on some new things (that are bigger) and so it will take some time before I post them on the blog. I so appreciate all of you who care about the art and ask you to continue to pray for me to do my best and to create from love.

"Orange Osage" Study, 8x10, Oil on Gessobord

"Orange Osage" 8x10 (study), Oil on Gessobord

I went back to this old panel after years of it sitting here in my studio. I liked the light but hated the limbs. I wanted to soften some of them and leave it loose.

There is something poetic about tree limbs. They curl and curve in ways that sing, dance and play. It's almost as if tree limbs and leaves hold light for us. Especially at dawn and dusk.

"Dusk" 12x48, Oil on Canvas

"Dusk" 12x48, Oil on Canvas

I love the way atmosphere can distill the light. I wanted to try valleys using warm and cool colors in one painting. This was Cadmium Orange, Naples Yellow and Dioxazine Purple with Ultramarine Blue.
