"John 1" 12x12 Oil on Gessobord

"John 1" 12x12 on Gessobord
I've been thinking of doing a little series on John. This is one of the first studies. It's just good to get them out of my head. The contrast in the Book of John between light and darkness is all through the writing. I feel the emotion of that book and wanted to depict it with skies. Here's my first one called John 1.

  1. Oh my goodness, sweet friend, this piece is fantastic! And especially coming out of how the Word (black and white text) became flesh. LOVE it! Thank you for sharing this with us. I can't wait to see the others!

I continue to lift you up, dear Dawn. Asking God to use you as His hands and feet in all the commissions, gigs, and lectures He puts before, and all the ideas His Holy Spirit instills within you. Thank you for your continued faithfulness--it always encourages me to chase hard after Him with everything I am.

Hope you're well. Much love and many hugs,

    1. Thank you my faithful friend! I loved your insight here about the black and white text. Your words encourage my heart and I am so grateful for your time (as I know you don't have much of it) and prayers. Pray you are doing great in your new position! Love to you dear heart
